Hello everyone! Time flies quickly, and the new year is about to arrive. I send my best wishes to you all from Beijing! In 2024, we walked through spring, summer, autumn, and winter together, experienced storms and rainbows side by side, and each moment was frozen in this extraordinary year, evoking deep feelings and unforgettable memories.

We actively responded to the impacts brought by changes in the domestic and international environment, introduced a series of policy "combination punches," and steadily promoted high-quality development. Our economy is warming up and improving, with the GDP expected to exceed 130 trillion yuan. Grain production surpassed 1.4 trillion jin, filling more Chinese bowls with Chinese grain. Regional development is coordinated and synergistic, with new urbanization and rural revitalization integrating and resonating together. Green and low-carbon development is advancing deeply, and the beautiful picture of China is gradually unfolding.

We cultivate new quality productivity according to local conditions, with new industries, new business forms, and new models emerging in competition. The annual production of new energy vehicles exceeded 10 million units for the first time. New achievements were made in integrated circuits, artificial intelligence, quantum communication, and other fields. Chang'e 6 conducted the first sampling on the far side of the moon, the Dream vessel explored the ocean, the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Channel rides the waves between sea and sky, and the Antarctic Qinling Station rises on the ice field, showcasing the Chinese people's heroic ambition to pursue dreams among the stars and seas.

This year, during my local inspections, I saw that everyone's life is colorful. Tianshui Huaniu apples are big and red, and Dongshan Aojiao Village's fishing boats are full. The "Eastern Smile" of Maijishan Grottoes spans a thousand years, and the family virtue of yielding in the Six-foot Alley is passed down from generation to generation. Tianjin Ancient Culture Street is bustling with people, and residents of multi-ethnic communities in Yinchuan live like one family. I have always been concerned about issues such as employment and income growth, care for the elderly and children, education, and healthcare. Over the past year, the basic pension has increased, mortgage rates have been lowered, the scope of direct settlement has expanded to facilitate medical treatment in different places, and the trade-in of consumer goods has improved the quality of life... Everyone's sense of gain has been greatly enriched.

At the Paris Olympic Games, our athletes bravely competed and achieved the best results in overseas competitions, demonstrating the youthful generation's high spirit, confidence, and positivity. The Navy and Air Force celebrated their 75th anniversaries, showing a new look of the people's soldiers. Facing natural disasters such as floods and typhoons, numerous party members and cadres charged forward, united in solidarity and mutual support. Countless workers, builders, and entrepreneurs are striving for their dreams. I awarded national medals and national honorary titles; the glory belongs to them and to every struggler who shoulders responsibility.

In today's world of intertwined turmoil, China, as a responsible major country, actively promotes global governance reform and deepens solidarity and cooperation among the Global South. We advance the high-quality joint construction of the "Belt and Road" initiative steadily and successfully hosted the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation Beijing Summit. In bilateral and multilateral occasions such as SCO, BRICS, APEC, and G20, China clearly puts forward its propositions, injecting more positive energy into maintaining world peace and stability.

We grandly celebrated the 75th anniversary of the founding of New China and looked back affectionately on the great changes of the Republic. Coming from the inheritance of over 5,000 years of Chinese civilization, the word "China" is engraved at the bottom of the "He Zun" vessel and is deeply engraved in the hearts of every Chinese descendant. The successful convening of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee sounded the horn for further deepening reform comprehensively. Riding the tide of reform and opening up, we stride forward, and Chinese-style modernization will open broader prospects in reform and opening up.

In 2025, we will fully complete the 14th Five-Year Plan. We must implement more proactive and effective policies, focus on high-quality development, promote high-level technological self-reliance and strength, and maintain a good momentum of economic and social development. Currently, the economy faces some new situations, including challenges from external uncertainties and pressures from the transformation of old and new driving forces, but these can be overcome through efforts. We have always grown through trials and strengthened through tests, so everyone should be full of confidence.

Family matters, national matters, and world matters — ensuring people live happy lives is the top priority. Every household hopes their children receive good education, the elderly have good care services, and young people have more development opportunities. These simple wishes are the yearning for a better life. We must work together to continuously improve social construction and governance, maintain a harmonious and inclusive atmosphere, solve the big and small issues close to people's lives, so that everyone smiles more and feels warmer at heart.

On the 25th anniversary of Macau's return to the motherland, I visited the shores of the Pearl River again. The new developments and changes are gratifying. We will unswervingly implement the "One Country, Two Systems" policy and maintain the long-term prosperity and stability of Hong Kong and Macau. The compatriots on both sides of the Taiwan Strait are one family; no one can sever our blood ties, and no one can stop the historical trend of national reunification!

The accelerated evolution of the world's century-old changes requires broad-mindedness to transcend divisions and conflicts and a magnanimous heart to care for the destiny of humanity. China is willing to work with all countries to be practitioners of friendly cooperation, promoters of civilizational mutual learning, and participants in building a community with a shared future for mankind, jointly creating a better future for the world.
