On January 8, 2024, the 12-meter reinforced anti-corrosion steel pipes for the Shengli Xianggang Steel Pipe China-Russia Far East (Hulin-Changchun) Natural Gas Pipeline Project were successfully launched. This project is a major strategic project decided by the Party Central Committee and the State Council. It is an important part of China's four major energy transportation corridors and is the world's largest single-pipe capacity long-distance natural gas pipeline project.
The China-Russia Far East (Hulin-Changchun) Natural Gas Pipeline Project starts in Heilongjiang Province and ends in Jilin Province, with a total length of 795 kilometers. The pipeline runs from north to south through 2 provinces (Heilongjiang and Jilin), 4 prefecture-level cities, and 12 counties (cities, districts). The Heilongjiang section is 615.4 km long, and the Jilin section is 179.6 km long. Along the pipeline, there are 8 gas transmission stations and 31 line valve chambers, with a designed gas transmission capacity of 100×10 8 m 3。
The entire project adopts innovative technology featuring large diameter, high steel grade, thick walls, and low-temperature "fracture nominal strain (-45°C) ≥ 100%", which imposes higher technical requirements on pipe manufacturing enterprises. Shengli Xianggang Steel Pipe attaches great importance to this, with all employees united to overcome all difficulties and interferences, strictly adhering to the timeline, and completing the project supply guarantee work with quality and quantity, contributing their due strength to the smooth advancement of the national pipeline network project.
