On October 28, the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee held a meeting to review the "Comprehensive Report on the Third Round of Inspections of the 20th Central Committee." Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee, presided over the meeting.
The meeting pointed out that under the strong leadership of the Party Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core, the inspection work has adhered to focusing on the center and serving the overall situation, emphasized problem orientation and implemented a strict tone, innovated organizational methods, deepened coordination between upper and lower levels, and continuously demonstrated the role of a sharp sword. From the inspection results, the Party building in central and state organs and centrally managed financial units has been strengthened, and new achievements have been made in various tasks, but some problems still exist. It is necessary to earnestly and seriously carry out inspection rectification, strengthen the political responsibility of the "first-in-charge" and members of the leadership team, enhance the organization, coordination, and daily supervision of inspection rectification, integrate inspection rectification with deepening reform, with comprehensively and strictly governing the Party, with the construction of leadership teams and cadres, and incorporate it into daily work and functional responsibilities, promoting high-quality development through effective rectification.
The meeting emphasized that Party committees (Party groups) at all levels must continuously raise their political standing, strengthen their political responsibility in performing duties, be courageous and capable, tackle tough problems, and proactively share the Party's burdens and fulfill responsibilities to the country. They must earnestly implement the deployment of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee, and carry out reform tasks with the spirit of "nailing down nails." They should enhance awareness of potential dangers, coordinate development and security well, focus on preventing and resolving risks in key areas, and firmly maintain the bottom line of safety. Leadership team building should be strengthened, democratic centralism strictly implemented, promotion and demotion of leading cadres advanced, and cohesion and combat effectiveness continuously enhanced. They must clearly understand the situation of the anti-corruption struggle, deepen the comprehensive and strict governance of the Party, carry the anti-corruption struggle through to the end with a thorough spirit of self-revolution, insist on advancing the integrated approach of not daring to be corrupt, not being able to be corrupt, and not wanting to be corrupt, deepen both the root cause and symptom treatment and systematic governance, maintain a high-pressure stance on punishing corruption, continuously improve the power allocation and operation restriction mechanisms, focus on eradicating the soil and conditions that breed corruption, and promote the normalization and long-term effectiveness of preventing and managing corruption.
